KOLAK Introduces KAKA — A Street Fighter-Inspired Character Concept
OCTOBER 15, 2026 · LOS ANGELES / GLOBAL RELEASE
ROUND ONE RETURNS TO THE BIG SCREEN.
The next Street Fighter film is scheduled to open in theaters October 16, 2026, with Paramount Pictures distributing the Legendary Entertainment production, co-produced with Capcom.
According to the official film synopsis, the story begins in 1993 as Ryu and Ken are pulled back into competition when Chun-Li recruits them for another World Warrior Tournament. Andrew Koji stars as Ryu, Noah Centineo plays Ken Masters, and Callina Liang portrays Chun-Li. Kitao Sakurai directs.
THE ARCADE CONNECTION
Beyond its fights and familiar roster, the movie's 1993 setting points back to an era when character-select screens, stage themes, and game cabinets became a visual language of their own. That connection between gaming, sound, and visual identity remains part of KOLAK's independent creative vocabulary.
Earlier this month, KOLAK presented KAKA, an original promotional character study inspired by fighting-game culture. It is separate KOLAK artwork—not a movie appearance, licensed collaboration, or official film merchandise.
