The Project

Who Coppin returns Larry June to an album credited under his own name following a busy stretch of collaborations. In this period, June’s catalog had connected him with Cardo Got Wings, The Alchemist, 2 Chainz and Curren$y. The solo billing matters: it gives the KOLAK timeline a separate point from which to view his familiar interests in work, spending, independence and the culture around them.

As an archival article, the value is not to announce a release that has already happened. It is to show where Who Coppin sits in a longer musical story. June’s individual identity remains the through line even when different co-artists and producers enter his orbit.
