The Project

Kid & Pay places HBK and Payroll Giovanni together as joint artists in a Detroit collaboration. Both had been part of the wider Game Related lineup in 2020, and this later release gives listeners another way to follow their shared musical history without needing to combine the two projects into a single article.

The value of keeping Kid & Pay separate is clear in the artist billing: this is specifically an HBK–Payroll project. Cardo Got Wings and Larry June are part of the wider network covered by KOLAK, but their earlier collaboration does not automatically make them credited artists or producers throughout this album. Accurate distinctions like these are what allow the 2020–2026 archive to function as a discography rather than an undifferentiated playlist.
